International Youth Day - The young generation: Building Trust across Borders

It is critical that we engage the youth to find new solutions to overcome long-held notions of hatred and prejudice.

This is not only important for a healthy political climate, but also the personal well-being of everyone involved.
Hadassah Austria organised this particular Peacecamp in Franzen in July 2006 which was accompanied and scientifically documented by SWI.

This Peacecamp brought together young women and men from Israel, Palestine, Hungary and Austria.

One of the most positive outcomes was that the individual and collective prejudices and stereotypes of the young participants brought to the camp were questioned, revised and significantly altered during the short period of time they were there.

Rafael Kropiunigg, our young intern, did a peer evaluation of the Peacecamp 2006 Please click here to read his report on it: en.swi-austria.org/newsevents/82/
