In 2008, the project partners of “Reproductive Health Matters” launched the “European Journalist Award” in five project countries: Austria, Germany, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands. The target is to enhance media coverage on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) issues. European journalists are encouraged to study these issues and develop interest and expertise in health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the close link between SRH and poverty eradication.

An international jury consisting of experts from the five project countries judged winning articles from each project country to decide the overall winners.

An Award Ceremony will be held on January 26, 2010 at the SAS Radisson Hotel, Parkring 14, 1010 Vienna at 18.30. If you would like to participate in this event, please RSVP at: info@swi-austria.org by 24. January 2011.
